Fire
Department Holds
Installation Dinner
The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department held their installation
dinner for Chief Angelo Roccamo and the Department Officers
at The Venetian on January 13, 2007.
Master of Ceremonies was former Fire Chief Tony Greco. The Pledge
of Allegiance was led by First Assistant Chief Michael Ratkowski
and a Benediction was given by Fire Department Chaplain Rev.
Joseph Pickard.
The traditional toast was made by Second Assistant Chief Kevin
Todd, followed by comments from Chief Angelo Roccamo.
Speakers included Mayor Ronald Jones and Fire Commissioner Carol
Skiba.
Recognition and presentations were given to the immediate past
Chief Joseph Taylor Jr., to include the ex-Chief’s badge.
Former Fire Commissioner, Thomas Meli, made comments, highlighted
with fun gifts, to fullfill the Department’s fantasy wish
list -- to Taylor, he presented a boat -- and to Roccamo, a
helicopter.
Various Department personnel made presentations of ex-officer
badges, etc.
Floral bouquets were given to the Chiefs’ wives, Fire
Chief’s Secretary, Nancy Halloran and Mrs. Meli.
Mutual Aid Officials from Carlstadt, Little Ferry, Lodi, Moonachie
and Wallington made presentations to Chief Roccamo. Wood-Ridge
Fire Department also held their installation dinner on January
13th. Boro officials and other dignitaries attended.
DJ entertainment was provided by Eddie Bouknight. ###
