Danson Jewelers Fire
[Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department]

On Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at approximately1:00 p.m. the HHFD responded to a  fire at Danson Jewelers located at the corner of The Boulevard and Williams Avenue.  Also responding were units from Wood-Ridge, Moonachie, Hackensack, Lodi and Wallington.

The fire appeared to under control quickly. No injuries were reported. While no arson was suspected, the cause of the fire is under investigation because it occurred at a business. ####

12:57 p.m. --  First attempt at entry


12:57 p.m. --  Second attempt at entry -- breaking glass


12:58 p.m. --  Entering Danson Jewelers and preparing to charge the hose (with water).


1:01 p.m. -- Ladder Company checking equipment before climbing ladder and prepare for venting


1:05 p.m. -- Assending the ladder to the roof


1:07 p.m. -- Lodi Ladder Company arriving on the scene


1:07 p.m. -- Wood-Ridge arriving on the scene and set-up as the F.A.S.T. Team.
(There job is to rescue trapped firefighters)


1:10 p.m. -- Roof venting was not necessary



1:12 p.m. -- Ladder Company recalled from roof


1:18 p.m. -- Fire is out and firefighters are checking for fire extensions in the wall, ceiling, etc.
