Christi School January 20, 2002 Corpus Christi School in Hasbrouck Heights, along with 8,200 other Catholic schools nationwide will celebrate Catholic Schools Week beginning Sunday, January 27th. This years theme, "Where Faith and Knowledge Meet" has taken on even more importance as we have all come to realize how essential the community and "family" that a Catholic school provides both students and parents has become in todays new world. Throughout the week the focus will be on the different parts of our world - parish, community, students, the Nation, committed volunteers and dedicated teachers. One of the highlights of this special week at Corpus Christi will be the Dedication of the Endowment Leaf to the World Trade Center victims. The money for this leaf has been raised by the contributions of the students of Corpus Christi. Since September 11th, on the 11th of every month, in memory of those that are lost and those left behind, the students donate $1.00 each and are allowed to wear red, white and blue clothing instead of their uniforms. This money has been designated for the Endowment program and to charities for the WTC families. Visitors are encouraged to come and look in on the new revitalized Corpus Christi School during this celebration week and talk to us about our new pre-K3 and pre-K4 programs scheduled for September. Space is limited. We also encourage parents with children of all ages to stop in and meet the administration and teachers to see how an education based on "Faith and Knowledge" can benefit their family.
