 Dear Editor

As the Interim Superintendent of the Hasbrouck Heights School District for the past several months, I have been privileged to work with a Board of Education who have unselfishly devoted themselves to giving our children the best education and support environment possible.

The administrators, teachers and support staff are dedicated individuals who make our children their number one priority and you should be proud of their commitment to your schools.

I have met some wonderful parents and citizens, who are willing to get involved with your children; this is a great experience for our young citizens. The PTA is also one of the most supportive groups I have come across.

Lastly, your children - they are truly a great group of kids. I have observed them in the classroom, on the playgrounds, coming and going to school, etc. and they exhibit a great deal of enthusiasm, a need for learning, and equally important, they are striving to become responsible, educated and caring adults. I believe they will do well! It has been a pleasure.

I am leaving this school system in very capable hands. Mr. Joseph Luongo is anxious to begin in Hasbrouck Heights as your Superintendent of Schools. He has proven to be a strong leader and I wish him well.
