Felician College Student Colleen Jarvis Selected to Attend the 5th National Forum
for Women State Legislators

Lodi and Rutherford, NJ-Felician College student Colleen Jarvis of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, was selected to be a Forum Fellow at the Center for American Women and Politics' (CAWP) fifth national Forum for Women State Legislators from November 14-18, 2001, in Dana Point, California.  As a Forum Fellow, Jarvis was one of 15 Fellows nationwide to be part of an exclusive group of non-legislators invited to attend the Forum.

The Forum Fellowship program included sessions and workshops that dealt with education policy, technology, the economy, health care, women's leadership, the environment, housing, and criminal justice.

Through the Forum Fellowship program, Jarvis had the opportunity to meet hundreds of women state legislators, representatives from political action committees, the media, policy experts, and other public officials from across the country.

As a Fellow, she also had the opportunity to attend the "Welcome to California" reception and CAWP's 30th Anniversary Dinner and Celebration.
