RESOLUTIONS:
78. Adoption of 1998 Budget Amendment

89. Budget Examination Resolution

Mayor Torre commented that this Governing Body has applied for discretionary aid, as has been done for many years past, and unfortunately has never been approved, possibly because of their efficiency.

Councilman Link motioned, seconded by Councilwoman Verrastro, to adopt Resolution Nos. 78 and 89.

Roll Call: Ayes: Link, Heeren, DiPisa, Pepe-only on Resolution No. 89, Verrastro, Wassberg

Nayes: Pepe-on Resolution No. 78

Absent: None

Councilman Pepe explained that he voted no on the Adoption of the 1998 Budget Amendment as he felt the Borough newsletter was not an appropriate expense. He felt the money could be spent in a better way. Mayor Torre disagreed. He said that for the first time, the Borough has a newsletter to better communicate with residents. The costs for the newsletter may be reduced if done internally.
