2002 Chamber Parade
Biggest & Best Ever Annual Chamber Parade started at 7:00 p.m. on Friday Night
November 29, 2002. Leading the parade were the Port Authority Police with
motorcycles, Honor Guard and bagpipers. The parade also featured nine marching band; ten
large floats and eight smaller floats;
fire trucks -- plus Santa!

Starting at 6:00 p.m. November 23, 2001 --
rain, snow or shine it is happening and get ready to enjoy!
This years Chamber
of Commerce on 11/23/01 will be like no other you have seen in recent years! It will not
be just a parade but it will be an EVENT! Get out of your mind how things were done in the
past! This is going to be different. First of all picture the Boulevard closed down about
6-6:15 pm and get ready for the preparade activities! At least 4 vocal groups will be up
and down the Boulevard getting you into the Holiday spirit!
Refreshment Stations
Up and down the Boulevard in at least 4 locations there will be hot
Chocolate/Balloons/candy cane stations these will be by Bergen Commercial Bank,
Summit/Fleet Bank/ Weiner/Ludwig Insurance and Boro Hall.
Benefit Raffle
Let us also not forget that this years parade will be for the benefit of The Hackensack
University Medical Center and all monies raised by donation or the Raffle (yes their will
be a raffle) will go to benefit the new Women's/Children's Hospital and the Audrey Hepburn
house for abused children!!
And oh yes that raffle for the hospital will be $1.00 each and currently it is worth over
$2300.00 in gift certificates from Macy's , Mcdonalds, The Bombay Co., Carroll's Fashions,
Anania Insurance and Heights Florist just to name a few!
The Parade
The parade itself will feature at this point at least 10 floats at least 3 bands and
Ronald Mcdonald! Also the WFAN Fan Van will be in the parade and the Hackensack Trolley
will also be there. Add to this DJ,s along the parade route and our usual local
participants and you can see we are shaping up into some event! By the way you will be
able to see the parade on the upper part of the boulevard because BarSan construction is
going to light it up!!!!
Well naturally Santa will go to
the Pioneer Club at the end but this year he will not be alone! Macy's with the children
from the Medical Center will have a children's fashion show and then you can see the big
man himself! Through all this Stop&Shop supermarket will supply us with cake and
refreshment! We haven't even mentioned the Sheriffs horse brigade , the motorcycle brigade
and the library drill team. To much to mention.

Band (not confirmed this date) Bands pending, Kundert Volvo, Remax Real Estate, Loveys,
Pioneer Club, Macy's Garden Stae Plaza, Bob's Pork Store, Angel Pena, Carvel of
Hackensack, Contemparary Club of Hasbrouck Heights, IHOP, Sylvesters, Houlihan's , Stop
and Shop, Just for You, Francesca's Nail Salon, Carroll's Fashions, Rite- Aid, Countryside
Baskets, Heights Florist, MLM Management, Gary and Nancy Wells, Chirico & Calabro CPA,
Trust Co. and growing!
So if you want to be in the
Parade you must save a spot you can not just show up the night of the parade and get in it
, it is to big and complicated this year . If you are a civic organization that wants to

Wanted
If you want raffle Books contact the above address . If you want to make a donation to
help the parade and the hospital make checks payable to Hasbrouck Heights Chamber of
Commerce parade fund and mail to P.O. Box 1 Hasbrouck Heights , NJ 07604. All monies above
the parade expense will go to the hospital all raffle monies go to the hospital direct.
