Small plane crashes in New Jersey since 1999:

July 11, 2004 -- Two Bloomsbury residents are killed when their twin-engine Beech Travel Air B95 nose-dives into a bay in Atlantic City while approaching Bader Field Airport.

June 10, 2004 -- A Connecticut man makes an emergency landing on the Haworth Country Club golf course after his single-engine 1981 Skyhawk 11 loses power at 1,500 feet. Pilot Mark Simmons walks away from a rough landing unscathed.

May 5, 2003 -- A Florida man is killed and a Connecticut resident critically injured when their single-engine Beech A-36 crashes in Howell Township.

April 11, 2003 -- A single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza plunges into a densely wooded area in Hamilton Township, killing the pilot.

Jan. 5, 2003 -- A pilot attempting an emergency landing crashes his single-engine Mooney aircraft at Morristown Municipal Airport. The man and his son walk away unharmed.

Nov. 15, 2002 -- The pilots of two single-engine planes are killed after their aircraft collide a mile west of Essex County Airport in Fairfield. Debris is scattered across lawns and trees in a quiet suburban neighborhood, but no one on the ground is hurt.

Sept. 30, 2002 -- A small plane crashes in woods in Ocean Township, killing the pilot.

Sept. 9, 2002 -- A Piper Saratoga carrying a Canadian family takes off from Teterboro Airport and crashes into a housing development in Hunterdon County 10 minutes later. The parents are killed. Two children are critically injured.

Aug. 11, 2002 -- A flight instructor and a student pilot are injured when their single-engine Cessna crashes at Greenwood Lake Airport. The student was practicing takeoffs and landings.

July 20, 2002 -- The pilot of a single-engine Glassair dies when his plane goes down in a wooded area of Jackson Township.

July 1, 2002 -- A banner plane crashes on takeoff from Allaire Airport in Wall Township and bursts into flames, killing its lone occupant.

March 9, 2002 -- A Cessna 210N crashes and explodes in flames shortly after takeoff from Teterboro Airport. The pilot is killed and the plane comes to rest on airport grounds, narrowly missing cars traveling on Route 46.

Aug. 26, 2001 -- A small plane attempting to land at Marlboro Airport strikes a power line and crashes in a wooded area in Marlboro Township, killing one person and injuring another.

July 10, 2001 -- A small plane crashes in a soybean field in Lumberton, Burlington County, killing the pilot and lone passenger.

Aug. 9, 2000 -- Two twin-engine planes collide in midair raining debris over a Burlington Township home. All 11 people on both planes are killed.

Dec. 9, 1999 -- A twin-engine Beech Baron crashes in the yard of a Hasbrouck Heights residence and bursts into flames, killing four.

Nov. 26, 1999 -- All three people in the plane are killed and 25 people on the ground are injured when a plane crashes into Newark’s South Ward neighborhood.

Jan. 11, 1999 -- A pilot is killed when his Cessna 31OR crashes in a Kearny freight yard.
