DPW
Maintaining Sewers
The sewer jet vacuum truck
purchased in 2000 for $198,000 to maintain the boro sewer system, was put to work January
24, 2001 at the corner of The Boulevard and Madison Avenue to insure that "the
system" was ready for the upcoming construction of the new Municipal Complex.
Using 3,000 pounds of pressure, the unit cleans out the pipe and vacuums the debris. A
camera inspection is preformed. The DPW regularly maintains main interceptor lines.
