*** New 2004 Fall Collection Procedure ***
Leaves may be raked into the street anytime between October 15 through December 1, 2004.
Leaves may also be placed in paper bags or hard containers. After December 1st, leaves
must be put into paper bags or hard containers. Plastic bags are never accepted for yard
waste. Do not rake leaves within 10 feet of a catch basin.
Effective August 18, 2004 the above info replaces the following procedure:
Effective October 2004, leaves may no longer be raked into the street for the DPW
to "scoop-up" as in previous years.
Leaves must be placed in paper bags or ridged containers. They may be placed
at the curb for pickup after 7:00 p.m. the night before the scheduled pickup day.
Leaves in plastic bags will not be collected. Leaves will no longer be accepted at
the Public Works Recycling Yard. Grass, garden waste such as flowers and vines may
be included with leaves. Branches will not be picked up with the leaves (note that
branches have a separate pick up day).
2004 leaf collection will begin on Monday, October 18 and end on Friday, December 17.
Leaves will be collected on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2 and Veterans Day,
Thursday, November 11.
Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 will be colleced on
Monday, November 29. |
