HASBROUCK HEIGHTS BOARD OF EDUCATION
A work session meeting of the Board of Education was held on Thursday, June 17, 1999, in the Administration Building, 379 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President, Mrs. Marie Fitzgibbons. Mrs. Fitzgibbons read the following statement: "Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Meeting Act, Public Law 1975, Chapter 231, the Board Secretary caused notice of this meeting to be given to the public and the press on May 4, 1999". Roll Call was taken by Joseph T. Bellino, School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, and the following members responded to their names: Present - Mrs. Carroll Mrs. Nasuta Also Present: Dr. Stepura, Mr. Bellino,
Mr.Dzwilewski RESOLUTION: Whereas, in accordance with the provisions of the New Jersey Open Public PS-003-99 Meetings Act the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education wishes to meet in Private Session for the purpose of discussing matters of a confidential nature relating to personnel, student matters. Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education adjourn to Private Session for the purpose of discussing such matters, and Be It Further Resolved, that the public be informed of these matters as soon as the need to remain confidential is no longer necessary at a future date to be determined. Resolution moved by Mrs. Jarvis, seconded by Mr. Casella and passed by unanimous voice vote of all members present. Meeting adjourned to Private Session at 7:35 p.m. M President's Report - None
Mr. Casella reported the committee met with Mr. OÕHare on guidance restructuring and services and discussed SAT IIÕs. Mr. Casella reviewed the resolutions to be acted upon at the June 24, 1999 public meeting. RESOLUTION: Whereas, in accordance with the provisions of the New Jersey Open Public PS-004-99 Meetings Act the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education wishes to meet in Private Session for the purpose of discussing matters of a confidential nature relating to personnel, student matters. Mrs. Nasuta reported the committee met and talked about summer programs open to Corpus Christie students followed by a discussion on the assistant coach for girls soccer. Mrs. Nasuta reviewed the resolution to be acted upon at the June 24, 1999 public meeting.
Dr. Delcalzo reported on the following: Community Relations Committee Mr. Casella discussed the resolution to be acted upon at
the June 24, 1999 public meeting. Finance Committee Dr. Eglow reviewed the resolutions to be acted upon at the June 24, 1999 meeting. Dr. Eglow discussed the following:
Mrs. Carroll will discuss labor relations in Private
Session.
Mrs. Carroll reviewed the resolutions to be acted upon at the June 24, 1999 public meeting. Mrs. Carroll discussed the dress code policy.
Mr. Casella talked to Barbara Marano about a walk through of the buildings. He discussed candidates for Technology Coordinator. A new ad was placed.
Mr. Suriano discussed the Walsh-Lowe bids.
Mrs. Jarvis met with Mrs. Healy to discuss various matters.
3. Finance: RESOLUTION: Whereas, in accordance with the provisions of the New Jersey Open Public PS-005-99 Meetings Act the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education wishes to meet in Private Session for the purpose of discussing matters of Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education adjourn to Private Session for the purpose of discussing such matters, and Be It Further Resolved, that the public be informed of these matters as soon as the need to remain confidential is no longer necessary at a future date to be determined.
