HASBROUCK HEIGHTS BOARD OF EDUCATION
WORK SESSION MEETING MINUTES
Thursday, January 21, 1999

A work session meeting of the Board of Education was held on Thursday, January 21, 1999, in the Administration Building, 379 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President, Mrs. Colleen Jarvis.

Mrs. Jarvis read the following statement:

"Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Meeting Act, Public Law 1975, Chapter 231, the Board Secretary caused notice of this meeting to be given to the public and the press on May 28, 1998".

Roll Call was taken by Joseph T. Bellino, School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, and the following members responded to their names:

Present - Mrs. Carroll Mrs. Fitzgibbons Mr. Case

Absent Mrs. Nasuta

Also Present: Dr. Stepura, Mr. Bellino, Mr.Dzwilewski

Athletics and Recreation Committee

No report.

1. New Field/new fence needed/getting more lighting quotes.
2. New roof problems, contractor called. Fieldhouse roof to East Rutherford Roofing.
3. Floor of Lincoln School, contractor to fix no charge.
4. Athletic/Hitchcock Field seeded.
5. Air handler problem at Euclid School - DMR to look into for add on contract.
6. Long term building problems/boilers/security and land acquisition.

Community Relations Committee

Mr. Casella reported that articles on new buildings are being prepared.

Education committee/Faculty Liaison

Mr. Casella reviewed the resolutions to be acted upon at the January 18, 1999 public meeting.
